From Interstate
81, take exit 205 (Steeles Tavern/Raphine); at bottom of ramp north
bound turn right, southbound turn left; follow Route 606 to Rt. 11; turn left on
Rt. 11, then immediately turn right on Rt. 56. Take Rt. 56 up the mountain eight miles
to Fish Hatchery Road. Turn right
on Fish Hatchery Road and bear left at next intersection. At the end of the state road, follow the
gravel road through the center of the hatchery up the hill to the cabin.
From Interstate
64 you can take the Blue Ridge Parkway exit at Afton Mountain. Go south on Blue Ridge Parkway and exit
the parkway at mile post 27 for Montebello, turn left on Rt. 56 and go three
miles to Fish Hatchery Road. Turn
right on Fish Hatchery Road and bear left at next intersection. At the end of the state road, follow the
gravel road through the center of the hatchery up the hill to the cabin. (from Interstate 64 you can travel
to Interstate 81 and follow directions above).
From Rt. 29 north of
Charlottesville take Interstate 64 and follow directions
above.
From Rt. 29 Lynchburg area, take Rt. 29 north to Rt. 151. Follow Rt. 151 to Rt. 56. Turn left on Rt. 56 and travel up the mountain to Fish Hatchery Road, turn on Fish Hatchery Road and bear left at the next intersection. At the end of the state road, follow the gravel road through the center of the hatchery up the hill to the cabin.
